James Blunt says he's retiring from music on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch

James Blunt has revealed he will be retiring from music during an interview on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch.

Speaking from his luxury home in Ibiza the Beautiful singer spoke to the hosts about his future plans.

‘What are the plans then?’ Simon Rimmer asked

‘Are you just going to stay in Ibiza because I suppose you’ll be able to leave in awhile if you want to? Or are you just going to hang out there because it’s a fun place to be?’

‘Yeh, I think I might retire now and live here, it’s pretty good,’ James began.

‘I think this island will open in July and I hope some of you guys from the UK will come and visit us at some stage over the summer.

‘Otherwise my whole tour this year has been delayed basically for a year and kicks off in 2021.’

The 46-year-old also recently released his hit The Greatest, with all profits being donated to the NHS and WHO (World Health Organisation).

And earlier this month he announced he would be hosting his very own radio show, titled The Greatest Hour.

The radio show will be played in hospitals across the country and will feature feel-good tunes to help healthcare workers on the frontline.

The show will be broadcast by the Hospital Broadcast Association, which represents 170 hospital, health, and wellbeing stations across the UK and is powered by volunteers.

Sunday Brunch returns on Sunday at 9.30am on Channel 4.
