Family followers have noticed that the duo has switched to more polished content. Not everyone is a fan of their new approach to social media, though, and Jinger’s recent post about anxiety has upset more than a few followers.
Jinger Duggar tried to offer fans tips for dealing withanxiety
Jinger took to Instagram to tell her fans how she’s beendealing with feelings of anxiety. Jinger, who resides in California with herhusband, is currently expecting her second child. In recent weeks, Californiahas experienced a spike in Coronaviruscases, which likely prompted Jinger’s post.

In the post, she stated that she uses prayer to help alleviate feelings of anxiety. She offered her followers her favorite bible passages that deal with stress, as well. While some followers were happy to see Jinger acknowledge anxiety as a valid feeling, others took issue with her statement. Many felt that Jinger was minimizing the seriousness of mental illnesses.

While some Instagram followers thanked Jinger for sharingher ways of combating feelings of anxiety, others were livid with the realityTV star’s sentiment. Several users noted that Jinger appeared to be downplayingthe mental health struggles that so many face. Some followers were offended bythe notion that they could “pray away” their mental health issues. The way Jinger’s caption is worded appeared tomake some followers believe Jinger was suggesting those who live with anxietyaren’t “trying hard enough”.

Ahhhhhh! There’s so much going on around us that can make us worry. Anxiety could be a serious struggle every day if we let it be! But believe it or not, the Bible has a lot to say about it. One of my favorite Scriptures is Philippians 4 where we are told to “rejoice always” and “never be anxious.” The obvious question is, how? The Duggar family has been criticized in the past for their lack of awareness about mental health. Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar were lambasted when it was revealed they did not provide counseling to their four daughters after they found out their eldest son, Joshua Duggar, had been inappropriately touching them. Jinger, who was one of the victims, has never spoken openly about seeking professional counseling. To date, the only Duggar who has publicly acknowledged seeing a licensed counselor is Jill Duggar. Jill’s husband, Derick Dillard, confirmed Jill is working with a professional during an interview.
