Meghan Markle 'relived painful & personal memories' as she spoke out against racism in video, says body language expert

MEGHAN Markle has spoken out about George Floyd’s death, and appeared to “relive painful and personal” memories, says a body language expert.

The Duchess of Sussex, 38, released the heartfelt message to the graduating class of her former high school, Immaculate Heart in LA, and said George’s “life mattered.”

Body language expert Judi James said Meghan “spoke powerfully and movingly straight to camera, apparently without a script, drawing on her own experiences to make her message even more important.”

She told Fabulous: “She takes several large swallows that suggest building emotions like sadness and then when she talks about her own memories of the LA riots her body language style suggests she is reliving the experience as a visualization as she refers to actual, personal memory details like the smell of the smoke and the charred trees.”

In her video, Meghan said: “George Floyd’s life mattered and Breonna Taylor’s life mattered and Philando Castile’s life mattered and Tamir Rice’s life mattered… and so did so many other people whose names we know and whose names we do not know.”

She added: “I wasn’t sure what I could say to you. I wanted to say the right thing and I was really nervous that it would get picked apart.

“And I realised the only wrong thing to say is to say nothing.”

Judi added that the duchess “didn’t over-act her emotions but the congruence in her body language makes them authentic and real”.

The body language expert said: “Her eye movement suggests she is creating her messages as she goes along rather than working from a prepared speech and this makes it look as though her thoughts come from the heart.

“At the start her greeting ‘eye smiles’ look warm but there are micro-flickers to announce she has some more serious and possible painful points to make.

“Meghan changes gear slightly for the last part of her talk when she gets to the motivational part of her message.

“Again this is very powerfully delivered straight to camera as she speaks firmly to the students about re-building.”

The unarmed black man died in police custody in Minneapolis, Minnesota, last week after a cop was filmed kneeling on his neck during his arrest.

The tragedy sparked widespread outrage and protests which have spread across the US and around the world.

Meghan referred to a teacher from the school, who she says gave her the courage to speak out.

She said: "I was thinking about this moment when I was a sophomore, I was 15… it’s the year we do volunteer work.

"And I remember one teachers, Ms Pollia, said to me, ‘always remember to put other’s’ needs above your own fears’.

"That has stuck with me throughout my entire life and I have thought about it more in the last week than ever before."

The former Suits star also remembered living through the 1992 LA riots after the police beating of black man Rodney King.

She said: “I was 11 or 12 years old and it was the LA Riots, which was also triggered by senseless act of racism.

“I remember the curfew and I remember rushing back home and on that drive home, seeing ash fall from the sky and smelling the smoke and seeing the smoke billow out of buildings.

“I remember seeing men in the back of a van just holding guns and rifles.

“I remember pulling up at the house and seeing the tree, that had always been there, completely charred.

“And those memories don't go away.”

Floyd died on May 25 after being arrested for trying to use a fake $20 bill to buy cigarettes.

On Tuesday, his daughter Gigi's mum revealed her grief over her former partner's death, saying their six-year-old will never be walked down the aisle by her father.

Gigi also appeared in a video where she proudly declares "daddy changed the world!" after her dad’s death sparked a global protest movement.

Meghan has previously spoken out about racism she has suffered being biracial – and spoke of the time her mum was called the N-word.

The then-actress Meghan, who had not yet married Prince Harry, adds in the poignant clip from 2012, that she hopes the world will have changed by the time she has kids.

The video is currently going viral, as protests against racial inequality continue in Britain as part of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Meghan’s video was shot as part of a #IWontStandForRacism campaign, and features the future duchess speaking about her own experiences.

She says: “For me I think it hits a really personal note. I’m biracial, most people can’t tell what I’m mixed with and so much of my life has felt like being a fly on the wall.

“And so some of the slurs I’ve heard, the really offensive jokes or the names, it has just hit me in a really strong way.

“A couple of years ago I heard someone call my mum the ‘n word’.

“So I think for me beyond being personally affected by racism, to see the landscape of what our country is like right now and certainly the world and to want things to be better.”

Meghan, whose dad Thomas Markle is Caucasian and her mum Doria Ragland is African American, spoke of the accepting world she wanted her future kids to grow up in.

She said: “I am really proud of my heritage on both sides, I’m really proud of where I’ve come from and where I’m coming.

“But yeah I hope by the time I have children that people are even more open-minded to how things are changing and that having a mixed world is what it’s all about.

“Certainly it makes it a lot more beautiful and a lot more interesting.”

In the moving video, Meghan admitted that some people look at her differently when they find out her heritage.

As grieving relatives of George Floyd prepare to attend a memorial service in his honour in the US, protests against racial inequality continue in Britain.

Demos are planned in London, Manchester and Birmingham, calling for the end of police brutality as celebs including singer Harry Styles and comedian Paddy McGuinness say that Floyd's death "can't be in vain".

To say that the death of black American George Floyd has hit a nerve in the UK is a huge understatement.

After video showed white officer, Derek Chauvin, pressing his knee on the neck of the dying man – while he pleaded for air with his hands handcuffed behind him – horrified Brits vowed to “kneel for Floyd in solidarity with protesters in America”.

While tens of thousands of protesters have taken to the streets across the US, anti-racism demonstrations continue to be held in Britain, with people chanting "Black Lives Matter" and waving placards calling for justice.

London defied lockdown to host a protest on May 31, resulting in some protesters being arrested following scuffles with cops.

She said: “Certain people don’t look at me and see me as a black woman or a biracial woman.

“They treat me differently I think than they would if they knew what I was mixed with.

“That can be a struggle as much as it can be a good thing depending on the people you are dealing with.”

We shared how Meghan and Prince Harry’s Commonwealth Trust supports Black Lives Matter after London protest.

Meanwhile, Meghan has been secretly working with animal charity as it battles funding crisis during coronavirus lockdown.

From Normal People to Meghan Markle’s raunchy sex scene in Suits — the top 10 TV shows that set your pulses racing – The Sun

IT was the TV drama that made Meghan Markle a star — and now Suits has been declared one of the raunchiest-ever shows.

Viewers who watched while hooked up to a heart rate monitor saw their pulses rise by 12 beats per minute.

The US legal drama, which is on Netflix, was just one of the steamy shows that got participants in a new study the most excited.

Meghan — now the Duchess of Sussex — even gets it on inside a store cupboard.

Scenes in other hit dramas that caused pulses to race include lesbian prison romps, frisky shower sex and naked orgies.

And experts reckon that hot action on our screens is becoming the norm.

Psychotherapist Neil Wilkie says: “Sex scenes are becoming more frequent and more graphic.

“In the UK we have awoken from prudishness and want to see passion and intimacy.”

But some viewers’ hearts thump harder due to the awkwardness of watching explicit scenes with another person present.

Environmental psychologist and well-being consultant Lee Chambers says: “Sex scenes create an environment of high arousal and excitement.

“They can also create a level of anxiety if we are watching these scenes with others, which can also cause our heart to race.”

Watching sex can have a similar effect on viewers’ hearts as frightening on-screen action too.

Lee added: “Programmes that cause us to enter a high arousal positive state, such as exciting scenes, cause our blood pressure to rise and our heart rate to increase.

“This is similar for programmes that cause a high arousal negative state, such as scary scenes.”

The research for online marketplace was carried out on 1,800 UK participants who had an average resting heart rate of 81 beats per minute (BPM).

They each wore a Fitbit activity tracker to measure their pulse.

Between watching sex scenes, the participants rested so their heartbeats could return to normal.

Here, we reveal the top ten sizzling shows that made viewers’ tickers go quicker and the average heart rate for each one.

1. Orange Is The New Black

Features: Lots of lesbian sex, a drug-fuelled threesome and sex toys

It’s lockdown, but not as we know it.

The women in hit US drama are banged up in prison – and their steamy scenes have officially made the show the raunchiest programme on the telly.

Sizzling action from the Netflix show, which ended last year after seven series, scored the highest on the measure of viewers’ heart rates.

Among the eye-popping scenes is a lesbian romp between Alex Vause (Laura Prepon) and her on-off girlfriend, middle-class lag Piper Chapman, who is played by Taylor Schilling, who also romps with Stella Carlin (Ruby Rose). The lusty couple even manage to get it on while in the prison chapel. Heavens above!

Other X-rated moments feature romps between prison guards and inmates, a drug-fuelled threesome and a butch, middle-aged lesbian using a sex aid on herself.

Neil Wilkie, author of Reset: The Relation-ship Paradigm, says: “The scenes in Orange Is The New Black win the hottest contest because the sex scenes in the show were intense, unexpected and – as it was lesbian sex – unusual on TV.

“It was a shock, so they really got the adrenalin flowing and the heart pumping.”

BPM: 101

2. Shameless

Features: Threesomes, toys and a days-long sex marathon

As you can guess from the title, Shameless isn’t scared to push boundaries. Set on a fictional council estate in Manchester, Channel 4’s black comedy follows the lives of the Gallagher clan.

Its naughty scenes include threesomes, sex toy sessions, a sex marathon lasting days and a hook-up on a professor’s desk.

Martina Laird played Michelle Critch- all, the owner of a male escort agency who wasn’t afraid of getting to grips with her employees, above.

The show is so raunchy that it has become a hit on sex site Pornhub, with a compilation of its more explicit moments amassing more than 2.4 million views.

BPM: 96

3. Game of Thrones

Features: Orgies, full nudity and disturbing incest

The fantasy series gripped the world with its epic scope – and frequent full nudity. A few of the many sex scenes stood out.

Oberyn, Ellaria and Olyvar enjoyed an orgy with several prostitutes in a brothel, while Daenerys Targaryen learned all about sex with her handmaid.

Daenerys, played by Emilia Clarke, and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) romped at the finale of the seventh series. Some of the sex scenes were disturbing, including a heated affair between siblings Cersei and Jaime Lannister.

The series also shows several gay sex scenes, with one between Loras and Renly proving particularly intimate.

BPM: 95

4. Normal People

Features: 41 minutes of ‘realistic’ sex scenes

The hit BBC Three drama follows the turbulent love story of working-class lad Connell (Paul Mescal) and well-heeled teen Marianne (Daisy Edgar-Jones), both left, in a fictional Irish town.

Sex, kissing and foreplay takes up 12 per cent of the show’s screen time – but critics praised its realistic portrayals of intimacy.

Relationship expert Neil Wilkie says: “The first scenes show the awkwardness between Marianne, the shy, odd virgin, and hunky but uncommunicative Connell.

“The sex is unhurried and detailed. It feels real.”

BPM: 93

5. Suits

Features: Meghan Markle in a steamy workplace romp

Before she became a member of the Royal Family, Meghan set pulses racing with her sex scenes in the US legal drama.

Her character Rachel Zane has an intense relationship with her law firm colleague Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams.

The pair have a passionate and playful time together – even stripping off for risky sex in a storeroom cupboard.

Meghan, now the Duchess of Sussex, is currently in lockdown in LA with Prince Harry and their one-year-old son Archie. She was so sexy in Suits that Harry was said to have lusted over her for two years before meeting her.

BPM: 93

6. Outlander

Features: Outdoor romp and nudity

Starting in the 18th century, this US time travel fantasy spans 200 years – and it did not shy away from showing lots of sex.

The plot follows the love story of Claire and Jamie Fraser, played by Caitriona Balfe and Jamie Fraser.

Claire takes her husband’s virginity on their wedding night and they are seen getting intimate in almost every episode, including an outdoor romp. But there are a fair few disturbing scenes as well.

One, which is very close to the line, shows Jamie spanking his wife before she turns the tables and holds a knife to his throat as they once again get intimate.

BPM: 92

7. Sex Education

Features: Solo sex acts, lesbian kisses and ‘orgasm faces’

In an unflinching look into the sex-obsessed lives of hormonal teenagers, the Netflix series features intimate and often awkward moments – from first-time sex right through to experienced clinches.

Following the lives of insecure teenager Otis – above, with Ola – his sex-therapist mum and his pals, the show featured 15 X-rated scenes in the opening three minutes of its second series.

There are solo sex scenes throughout. It has been ap-plauded for its portrayal of LGBTQ sex, with numerous frank discussions between characters.

Stand-out moments include Ola and Lily’s first passionate kiss, Aimee finally discovering how to climax – while guiding her boyfriend through it – and the moment when Olivia finds the courage to embrace her “orgasm face”.

BPM: 91

8. Jessica Jones

Features: Rough, bed-breaking sex

Even superhero Jessica Jones has raunchy sex scenes, like the one pictured, to set pulses racing, and this series from Netflix had them from the first episode.

Jessica (played by Krysten Ritter) enjoyed a passionate romp with fellow superhero Luke Cage (Mike Colter) in episode one, and it was just the first of many more to come.

Later they got so passionate they broke the bed, while another scene showed Luke throw her against a wall, breaking glass, luckily without injury. She is a superhero, after all.

BPM: 90

9. Queer As Folk

Features: Lots of groundbreaking gay sex scenes

The Nineties drama sparked controversy with its graphic gay sex scenes but is now regarded as groundbreaking.

It ran for two series in 1999 and 2000, charting the lives of three gay men living on Manchester’s Canal Street.

The most notorious scene featured Charlie Hunnam as 15-year-old Nathan and Aidan Gillen’s older guy Stuart.

A very explicit scene of the pair in bed ignited a storm of protest from some viewers.

BPM: 89

10. Girls

Features: Role-play, bathroom solo and kitchen sink sex

The HBO comedy drama series held nothing back when it came to its string of very X-rated sex scenes.

While at least two showed Marnie leaning over her kitchen sink for some very rushed sex, another awkward one saw Hannah’s parents get frisky in the shower.

Elsewhere, Hannah was seen energetically bedding Adam and attempting role-play as she wore an icy blonde wig to reignite her sex life, while Marnie was even filmed having rapid solo sex in a public toilet.

Meghan and Harry are ‘living the fairytale’ in LA – and got their mega mansion as they ‘know people’, reveals Gayle King

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry are “living the fairytale” since moving to LA with one-year-old son Archie, friend Gayle King claims.

The US host, who is a close friend of the Duchess of Sussex, reflected on the couple’s relationship on their second anniversary on Monday.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the CBS This Morning host said: “They've got a little baby, Archie, they're living in the United States, and I think the fairytale continues for them and it just makes me happy.”

Harry and Meghan are believed to be staying at producer Tyler Perry’s swanky £15million Tsucan-style villa in LA.

And while it was rumoured that Meg’s pal Oprah Winfrey had orchestrated the stay, Gayle, 65, says that’s not the case.

She continued: “Oprah didn't hook that up. Harry and Meghan know people.

“Tyler knows people. Oprah knows people but she did not make that connection for Harry and Meghan to live in Tyler's house.”

The Tuscan-style villa offers spectacular, sweeping views of the city from their ultra-exclusive neighbourhood.

And inside, the home is kitted out with all the amenities any A-lister could crave, including a Grecian spa-style bathroom with white pillars and a sunken bath.

There is also a spacious kitchen with a marble island that looks perfect for foodie Meghan to whip up some meals for her small family.

Meghan and Harry reportedly flew on Tyler’s £120m private jet to move into his Beverly Hills mega-mansion in March.

Insiders told the Daily Mail: "It was a well-planned operation that appears to have worked perfectly" – allowing the couple to avoid any type of wait at customs.

It is unknown whether the couple are renting or staying there as guests, but there is no record of the mansion having been sold.

Aerial photographs reveal the couple's A-list neighbours – with red carpet stars such as Katy Perry, Jennifer Lawrence and Sir Elton John.

In other royal news, we told you how Kate and William didn't publicly congratulate Harry and Meghan on their second anniversary.

And Meghan Markle loved learning martial arts her former trainer has revealed – and she chatted to him in Spanish.

Meanwhile, the Queen is said to have found Meghan Markle’s wedding dress ‘surprising’ because it was so white, royal sources claim.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry provide 250,000 meals for struggling Brits during lockdown with wedding donation

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry pledged the money generated from their royal wedding broadcast to help the Feeding Britain charity.

And now it has been revealed that their £90,000 donation has helped to provide 250,000 meals to struggling Brits during lockdown.

The charity's director Andrew Forsey told Fabulous: “The Duke and Duchess' generous support covers the costs of distributing 250,000 meals across our network.

“All of those meals are being distributed through our emergency food response during the coronavirus lockdown.”

A spokesperson for the couple – who are now living in LA following Megxit – previously said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are "delighted" the money is going towards "such a great cause".

The couple tied the knot two years ago to the day on May 19, 2018 at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.

The duke and duchess reportedly told the Archbishop of Canterbury – who is President of Feeding Britain – that they wanted the money to go to the charity after UK schools closed in March.

The publication reports that any excess profits from their BBC wedding broadcast – which was watched by over 18m people in the UK – was always going to be donated to a charity of the couple's choice.

However, Meghan and Harry were reportedly notified of the £90,000 as the coronavirus crisis broke and wanted to support the Archbishop of Canterbury's chosen charity as he conducted their wedding ceremony.

Meghan and Harry's 2018 royal wedding

Shortly after their engagement was revealed, it was confirmed the wedding between Harry and Meghan will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018.

The couple tied the knot at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.

Charles and Camilla had their televised blessing there in 2005 and it offered the couple a more low key venue than Westminster Abbey, where Kate Middleton and Prince William got married.

St George's Chapel can accommodate 800 guests, whereas the Abbey seats 2,000.

BBC One, ITV and Sky all broadcasted the historic union.

Andrew Forsey says the donation will allow the charity to "keep breakfast, lunch and dinner, so three square meals, on the table of many tens of thousands of children across our network."

He added to Fabulous: "The incredibly generous support we're receiving from the Duke and Duchess is enabling our emergency food programme to bring much-needed relief – in the form of hundreds of thousands of meals – to so many families during these incredibly challenging times.

“Families who were already vulnerable before the pandemic are now even more so, having been impacted by a catastrophic mix of low income and isolation."

The charity works in 12 areas across the UK and has also set up bases in London and Scotland since the coronavirus crisis began to run their emergency food programme for those in need.

In January 2019, Meghan and Harry visited Feeding Britain's first citizens supermarket based in Birkenhead.

Andrew added: "The magic that they left on the town that day has been carried forward through this very generous donation."

A spokesperson for the couple said: "The Duke and Duchess were able to speak to the Archbishop recently, and were moved to hear all about the work Feeding Britain was doing to support people during Covid-19."

"They have particularly fond memories of their visit to the citizens' supermarket in Birkenhead, especially the generosity and compassion of everyone working there to help others.

"They are delighted to be able to ensure this money is donated to such a great cause."

We shared how chatty Archie calls Prince Harry ‘Dada’ as he films him and Meghan Markle at their LA home.

And royal fans have pointed out that Archie looks the spitting image of his dad in the new video.

Meanwhile, Piers Morgan says he made things ‘too personal’ with Meghan and Harry as he admitted he ‘took it too far’.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's New Life Will Push Harry To 'the Bottom' Expert Claims

PrinceHarry and Meghan Markle are still adjusting to a new way of life now thatthey’ve leftthe royal family. The duke and duchess have settled down in California, though rumor has it they’re still looking for their permanent home.

Although Harry and Meghan left the family to start a new life, one royal expert is convinced that the move is actually going to benefit Meghan more than Harry — and that it will result in the prince being at “the bottom” when the dust settles.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially left the royal family in March

Back in January, the duke and duchess announced on Instagram that they would be stepping back from their roles as senior royals. Ever since the couple wed back in 2018, they’ve dealt with a massive amount of bad publicity — mostly directed at Meghan. The media dug into Meghan’s past and pulled up information about her family. Outlets also targeted Meghan as having started a feud with Kate Middleton, and the duchess couldn’t catch a break. It led Meghan to have a difficult time winning over the public.

Meghan and Harry left to Canada shortly after their announcement, only to return to the United Kingdom once in March to finish out their royal duties. As of March 31, the two were officially former senior royals.

“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment. We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages. This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity. We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties. Until then, please accept our deepest thanks for your continued support.” – The Duke and Duchess of Sussex For more information, please visit (link in bio) Image © PA

Harry has hinted in the past that he never wanted to be a royal

Harry didn’t have an easy time growing up in the spotlight. The prince went through a lot after his mother died in 1997, and in 2017, 20years after her death, Harry revealed in an interview with Newsweekthat he still hasn’t healed from the loss.

Writer Angela Levin also noted in the article that Harry said numerous times that he longs to be “something other than Prince Harry.” Though the world didn’t put two and two together at the time, Harry’s statement might have been hinting at a potential royal departure all along.

One expert is convinced the move will leave Harry at ‘the bottom’

Harry and Meghan’s shift to a new life seems to be what isbest for them; it allows them to move out of the spotlight and start a new lifeas a regular couple rather than as two of the world’s most important people. However, one royal expert thinks it will have a negative effect on Harry.

Kelvin Mackenzie, former editor of The Sun and someone who has been following the royals for years, thinks that Meghan and Harry’s departure will leave Harry with less than it will leave Meghan. “I massively admire Meghan… She came from nothing and ended up at the top,” Mackenzie told Express. “Harry, started at the top, ending up down the bottom… He’s going to end up as a butler.”

‘The bottom’ might be exactly where Harry wants to be

Mackenzie essentially said that Meghan and Harry’s marriage will result in Meghan’s fame and Harry’s demise, and suggested the two will end up divorced for that reason. But being “a butler” might be exactly what Harry wants. He’s always shied away from fame, and though he certainly hopes his marriage with Meghan works out, he might not mind if she ends up the more famous of the two.

In Archie’s birthday video, Harry was behind the camera — still there, but out of sight — seemingly exactly where he wanted to be. His marriage to Meghan could potentially be the best thing that ever happens to him.

Meghan McCain Gives a Shout Out to 'The View' in Lengthy Instagram Post: 'We're Beating Ellen in the Ratings'

The View has been an ABC staple since its launch in 1997. With Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Meghan McCain manning the table for the past few years, the daytime talk show has found some consistency after several seasons of revolving co-hosts.

McCain just shared some news on Instagram in celebration of very striking numbers for the iconic program.

‘The View’ is killing it in the ratings

On May 6, Walt Disney Television sent out a release trumpeting some pretty impressive ratings for The View, stating that it is ranked third in daytime talk shows and ahead of one of today’s most popular programs.

“Season to date, amongst all network and syndicated daytime talk shows and news programs (19 total), The View (2.762 million) ranks No. 3, trailing only Dr. Phil (3.347 million) and Live with Kelly and Ryan (2.879 million), while leading Ellen (2.728 million), based on Most Current Data,” the statement read, titling the release “The View Turns in Year-to-Year Gains in All Key Target Demos for the 6th Consecutive Week.”

The announcement honed in on The View’s significant marker of bringing in more viewers than Ellen DeGeneres’ show. “In fact, The View is leading Ellen at this point of the season for the first time in 8 years – since the 2011-2012 season.”

Meghan McCain praises ‘The View’

Since joining the show in 2017, McCain has proven to be one of the most controversial co-hosts on the daytime program. With sporadic rumors of fighting with fellow panelists and audiences calling for her firing, the conservative pundit has had her share of difficulty during her tenure yet has stayed the course. McCain gave accolades to the whole team of The View for their momentous achievement.

“So proud of this entire team and especially my cohosts and how much blood, sweat and tears goes into making this show run,” she posted with a pic of the release headline. “It literally takes a small village and everyone has seamlessly and elegantly rolled with the punches – especially since the covid crisis.”

The Republican co-host also revealed that she was originally advised by many to turn down the job offer from The View, advising that it would have an adverse effect on her career. “When I joined the show three years ago on the insistence of my Dad, more than a few people told me I was committing career suicide and wouldn’t last a full season because the show had a habit of eating up and spitting out conservative hosts,” McCain shared.

I believe that ALL women in America are smart, shrewd and politically engaged in a way they haven’t been in decades, no matter where they live or what they do – and I have always placed my bets on that ethos. I’m so proud of what we have tuned this show into, thank you all for supporting, watching, hating and talking. I wouldn’t change a thing. 🇺🇸

Finally ahead of ‘Ellen’

The View star called out the show’s ratings accomplishment, noting that despite reports of drama and frequent criticisms of the co-hosts, staying true to themselves has paid off.

“Now we’re beating Ellen in the ratings, interviewing every significant political figure in the country and have shown that women can be strong, smart, hard, intense and not need to make an attempt to be ‘likable’ or ‘traditionally relatable’ and still blow our competition out of the water and be an integral part of the news zeitgeist,” McCain stated.

The conservative co-host also acknowledged The View’s political notoriety and its commitment to discussing tough topics along with hot topics.

“I believe that ALL women in America are smart, shrewd and politically engaged in a way they haven’t been in decades, no matter where they live or what they do – and I have always placed my bets on that ethos,” McCain wrote on Instagram, adding her gratitude for her part on the show and its faithful audience – even the viewers who disagree with her.

“I’m so proud of what we have tuned this show into, thank you all for supporting, watching, hating and talking,” she posted. “I wouldn’t change a thing.”

Meghan Markle, Prince Harry tell-all book set for August release

Queen bans Harry, Meghan from using ‘Sussex Royal’ title

FOX Business’ Ashley Webster reports on the Queen banning Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from using the ‘Sussex Royal’ title.

A tell-all book chronicling the lives of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is set for an August release and was penned by two reporters who have worked closely with the royal couple for years.

“Finding Freedom: Harry, Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family,” was written by royal insiders Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie. The tome will be released on Aug. 11, 2020 and is already available for pre-order ranging in price between $14.99 for the Kindle edition and $27.99 for hardcover.

“When news of the budding romance between a beloved English prince and an American actress broke, it captured the world’s attention and sparked an international media frenzy,” states a description of the book.

“But while the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have continued to make headlines—from their engagement, wedding, and birth of their son Archie to their unprecedented decision to step back from their royal lives—few know the true story of Harry and Meghan.”

Durand and Scobie are described as being “members of the select group of reporters that cover the British Royal Family and their engagements.”

“For the very first time, Finding Freedom goes beyond the headlines to reveal unknown details of Harry and Meghan’s life together, dispelling the many rumors and misconceptions that plague the couple on both sides of the pond,” the description further states.

Markle, 38, and Harry, 35, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, wed at Windsor Castle in May 2018 after being introduced through a friend about two years earlier. They now share a nearly 1-year-old son, Archie.

In January, the pair announced they would be stepping back from their senior roles in the royal family to split their time between North America and the U.K.

As of March 31, they were no longer considered senior royals, but have still kept their titles of duke and duchess.

They have since announced the upcoming creation of a new philanthropic venture, for which they’ve tapped one of Melinda Gates’ former staffers. They have also begun establishing standards for how they expect to be treated, and what they will and will not put up with, in the new phase of their lives.

In April, the Sussexes announced they would not cooperate with certain British tabloids, specifically The Sun, the Daily Mail, the Daily Express and the Daily Mirror.

In letters written to editors of each publication, the couple said they would no longer “offer themselves up as currency for an economy of click bait and distortion.” They say stories based on “salacious gossip” have upended the lives of acquaintances and strangers alike.

The letter, released by the couple’s representative, said Harry and Meghan will have “zero engagement” with the newspapers, but says the couple “believe that a free press is a cornerstone to any democracy.”

Harry has long had an uncomfortable relationship with the media, which he blames for the death of his mother, Princess Diana. She died in a car crash in Paris in 1997 while being pursued by paparazzi.

Markle is enduring her own, separate battle with publishers of the Daily Mail, whom she is suing for invasion of privacy over a 2018 article that included portions of a letter she had written to her father, Thomas Markle. The defendant, Associated Newspapers, denies infringing on Meghan’s privacy.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Palace insiders called Meghan Markle ‘Me-Gain’ and ‘Di Lite’

Generations of royals, from Princess Diana to Meghan Markle, have filled the halls of Kensington Palace with their epic fights — and saucy habits, insiders reveal in a new book.

“You couldn’t hide anything from anyone,” one palace staffer told British author Tom Quinn, whose book, “Kensington Palace: An Intimate Memoir from Queen Mary to Meghan Markle,” will be released later this month.

Princess Di’s staff had to point out her habit of nude sunbathing in her rooftop garden wasn’t as private as she thought.

She believed the area to be safe even from hovering helicopters, until her servants informed the princess many of the choppers had high-resolution binoculars.

But it was two construction workers who got up close and personal, when a barrier that would normally obscure the view was down as Diana was tanning one day.

Before she could cover up, the men simply bowed and turned away, prompting a footman to later note, “They may have just been builders, but they were gentlemen all the same.”

Diana and Prince Charles were also often heard engaging in noisy arguments from their Kensington Palace apartments, Quinn notes in the book, which he detailed in The Daily Mail.

“There is a myth that Charles and Diana were living happily in this beautiful palace, at least for their first few years together, but, actually, you could hear them rowing almost from the day they moved in,” the former communications staffer allegedly told Quinn.

Drama has also plagued the latest generation of royals.

Markle quickly earned herself unflattering nicknames from staff, who dubbed her “Me-Gain,” “the Duchess of Difficult,” “Di 2” and “Di Lite.”

Markle and Prince Harry have since moved on to a paparazzi-infested enclave of Malibu, with at least one prestigious Brit believing Markle is the brains behind their post-Megxit move.

“Whose decision was it, I wonder, to build a new life in North America? I can’t help thinking that Meghan, as we must now call her, played a leading role here,” British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s father Stanley said in a new report.

Another insider told the Royally Obsessed podcast last week they believe Markle plans to relaunch her lifestyle blog, The Tig, seen as a rival to Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop.

Meghan Markle wears £135 ‘evil eye’ pendant signifying ‘protection from negative vibes’ during video call

MEGHAN Markle was spotted wearing an evil eye pendant, a symbol of “protection from negative vibes.”

The Duchess of Sussex was seen wearing the £135 18K gold plated silver charm from Edge of Ember as she wished a young woman good luck with a job interview during a video call.

Last month Meghan, 38, volunteered some time to speak with her patronage Smart Works, which provides clothing and coaching for unemployed women with interviews.

Smart Works released a clip of the video call between LA-based Meghan and the young woman, which took place on March 27, just before she stepped down as a senior royal.

In the clip the mum-of-one can be seen wearing the pendant which, according to its maker, “bears a blue topaz evil eye to protects its wearer from negative vibes.”

The seller adds: “It's got your back.”

This is not the first time that Meghan has relied on the evil eye symbol, having been seen wearing it during her royal tour of Africa with Prince Harry in September.

Meg wore the £450 18-carat chain, by Turkish-inspired jewellery designer Alemdara, as she gave a speech at the Nyanga township in Cape Town.

According to the designer's website: "As per Ottoman legend, an evil eye on your person wards off jealousy from others."

It adds the symbol should "offer the wearer protection and luck" and helps "dispel negative thoughts and energy".

In the video released today Meghan can be seen wearing a purple jumper and had her hair tied back.

She praised the woman saying: “You seem incredibly confident and prepared and I know everyone here is so excited.

“When I was reading about what your interests are – you have a big focus on mental health – I think that is excellent.”

She then asked the young woman what interested her about the internship opportunity, and then said: “I think you are going to be fantastic. It’s just so exciting.

“I just wanted to be able to call in and tell you best of luck and my fingers are crossed for you.

“There is so much going on in the world right now, and to be such a beacon of hope and focusing on getting through it – all the positivity we want to send your way to make sure you can get on the other side of this and have such a great opportunity there.”

The delighted woman replied: “That means so much to me.

“Thank you so much for making this whole thing possible through Smart Works and you championing something like this to empower women, it’s amazing.”

Meghan has been a patron of Smart Works since January 2019 and launched a charity clothing line with them last September.

The Duke and Duchess are currently on lockdown in LA with their baby Archie, after moving from a waterfront, secluded mansion on Vancouver Island earlier this year.

During the self-isolation period, the couple have reportedly signed up to volunteer with Project Angel Food, which takes non-perishable meals to people with critical illnesses around west Hollywood.

Meghan Markle Hired Princess Diana’s Former Lawyer for Her Current British Tabloid Case

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is taking a page from Princess Diana as she currently undergoes her lawsuit against a British tabloid.

According to 5RB law firm’s official website, the duchess has hired David Sherborne to represent her in her lawsuit against the publisher of the Mail on Sunday. Sherborne has not only previously represented Meghan’s late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, but also high-profile British celebrities such as Elton John, David and Victoria Beckham, and Harry Styles.

“He is also acting for HRH The Duchess of Sussex in her misuse of private information, breach of data protection, and infringement of copyright action against Associated Newspapers,” read a statement on Sherborne’s official profile.

Meghan is suing the Mail on Sunday and its publisher for publishing excerpts from an obtained private letter she sent to her father in 2018, allegedly printed with the intention of manipulating the newspaper’s readers. According to the duchess’s lawyers, the act violates privacy, copyright, and data protection laws in the United Kingdom.

Earlier this month, in an open letter sent from the Sussexes’ representatives, both Meghan and Prince Harry declared they would no longer engage with The Sun, Mirror, Daily Mail, and Express publications due to their reporting style toward the royal couple.

“This policy is not about avoiding criticism. It’s not about shutting down public conversation or censoring accurate reporting,” said the couple in their letter. “Media have every right to report on and indeed have an opinion on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, good or bad. But it can’t be based on a lie.”

A source close to the Sussexes confirms to that should Meghan win the case, she will be donating damages from the lawsuit to an anti-bullying charity.
