The ‘Fuller House’ Cast Wants To Come Back For Another Reboot In 10 Years

After five seasons and 75 episodes, Fuller House won’t return after Season 5. Its final season was announced in January 2019, followed by the release of the first batch of Season 5 episodes that December.

The reason for the show’s cancellation seems to be due to poor viewership; Netflix is notoriously private about streaming numbers, but the Fuller House cast has made it clear that they would have been on board for more seasons. "I would play DJ Tanner for the rest of my life," Candace Cameron Bure told E! News in 2018. "If the audience wanted it and the networks wanted it, I would do it forever."

But it appears that the audience and the network didn’t want it, because Netflix pulled the plug on the show. Business Insider reported that Fuller House suffered a 52% drop in viewership between Seasons 1 and 2, according to data analysis company Jumpshot. When the numbers fell another 10% between Seasons 3 and 4, E! News reported that the show was almost canceled. However, giving the series a fifth season allowed the writers to craft a satisfying ending for fans and the characters they’ve loved since the ’80s.

Nonetheless, the cast isn’t quite ready to say goodbye. "It doesn’t feel like it’s over in my bones," Andrea Barber, who plays Kimmy Gibbler, told TV Insider. "I really want to play this character and see where she is and see her grow. We’ve seen Kimmy, DJ, and Stephanie since they were 5 and 10. Let’s continue it into our 60s."

Bure agreed. "We talk about that all the time and put it out there so much," she said in the same interview. "Who knows what will happen in 10 or 15 years. Never say never. If there is another opportunity, I know all of us would reprise these characters again."

In order to return for a Fullest House, Barber thinks there will need to be some grandchildren in the picture. That would mean the show could come back in about 10 years when DJ and Kimmy’s oldest children are in their late 20s.

Nostalgia TV is still pretty popular, and who knows what could happen in another decade. But even if Fuller House is truly over for good, the stars are sort of keeping the series alive just by being just as close off screen as they are on. "I love our Fuller House family, and we really are family off screen," Bure told E! News.

A peek at their Instagrams proves as much: even amid quarantine, Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie) met up with Barber and Bure for a socially distanced hangout.

And before guidelines for social distancing were instituted across the U.S., the Fuller House dads were also spending time together, as John Stamos documented on Instagram.

Even the Fuller House kids are friendly off-camera.

But if the cast does ever reunite onscreen, Stamos is prepared. After wrapping the show, he somehow made off with the Tanners’ iconic blue and white couch. It now sits proudly in his own home, just waiting to be brought back to set in a decade or so.

Neighbours cast show off new social distancing rules on set

The Neighbours cast have given viewers a tour of the set to demonstrate how production has adapted under the new social-distancing measures amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Now that filming has resumed on the show, Takaya Honda, Matt Wilson, April Rose Pengilly and Tim Robards showed fans the changes that have been made to ensure the safety of the actors and staff.

The stars, who play David Tanaka, Aaron Brennan, Chloe Brennan and Pierce Greyson in the Australian soap, spared no detail and walked through a range of departments, including hair and make-up, the extras room and of course, the set.

Before even being allowed access onto the site, guests have to have the temperatures taken. Once they’ve got the all-clear, they’re good to go.

Wilson explained that the majority of the production has now gone digital, meaning that the soap’s scripts are all online.

Visit our live blog for the latest updates: Coronavirus news live

‘There’s absolutely minimal contact now,’ he said.

Honda added that the producers are working hard to rewrite scripts so that the cast can maintain their 1.5 metre distancing.

Meanwhile, Pengilly revealed that the producers have stepped in to serve as extras.

‘It makes me very nervous when it is the producers because they are the big bosses,’ she confessed.

The cast confirmed that while new rules mean there’s no kissing or touching on set, special camera techniques can be used to give off the illusion certain characters are closer than they are.

Speaking about the changes, Chris Oliver-Taylor — the chief executive of Freemantle Australia — said: ‘It’s going to look a bit odd.’

‘[But] Neighbours is a show that can get away with it.’ ‘We employ hundreds of staff who want to work and feel they can. It’s important we continue to produce a show that reaches millions of people in the UK and a significant audience in Australia.’

‘The Breakfast Club’ Cast: Where Are They Now?

It all started with a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess and a criminal.

In 1985, the world was introduced to five teenagers with very different backgrounds who found themselves spending nine hours on a Saturday in detention. The success of The Breakfast Club helped make stars out of the so-called Brat Pack — Anthony Michael Hall, Emilio Estevez, Ally Sheedy, Molly Ringwald and Judd Nelson — and critics consider the teen drama to be one of director John Hughes’ best.

The movie centers on Brian Johnson (Hall), Andrew Clark (Estevez), Allison Reynolds (Sheedy), Claire Standish (Ringwald) and John Bender (Nelson) as they gather in the library of the fictional Shermer High School to serve detention from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 1984. Their tyrannical assistant principal, Richard Vernon (Paul Gleason), assigns each member of the group to write a 1,000-word essay describing “who you think you are.” He also instructs the students not to speak, leave their seats or sleep until they are released — all while regularly checking in on them.

Over the course of the 97-minute film, Brian, Andrew, Allison, Claire and John bicker, share their darkest secrets, smoke a little marijuana and ultimately become unlikely friends. In the end, they submit a single essay to the assistant principal, signed, “Sincerely yours, the Breakfast Club.”

The movie reunited Hall and Ringwald, who previously starred in Hughes’ 1984 classic Sixteen Candles.

Although The Breakfast Club was not nominated for any major awards at the time, it is widely regarded as one of the most iconic films in history. One year after the dramedy celebrated its 30th anniversary, the Library of Congress selected it for preservation in the United States National Film Registry, joining the likes of game-changers including Titanic, Toy Story, The Lion King, Forrest Gump, Schindler’s List, A League of Their Own, Goodfellas, Top Gun, Purple Rain, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, The Shining, Star Wars and Jaws.

Southern Charm Cast Shakeup: Who Else Is Out?!?

Southern Charm will look very different on Season 7.

If there even is a Season 7, that is.

On Tuesday, original cast member Cameran Eubanks stunned fans when she announced on Instagram that she’d be leaving the long-running reality show, qutting after six entertaining seasons.

Now, however, we’ve learned that Eubanks will have some company away from Bravo cameras.

Naomie Olindo and Chelsea Meissner also won’t be back next season, sources have confirm to People Magazine.

Neither of these reality stars has commented on the strong and surprising rumor, but Olindo did drop a pretty strong hint on Wednesday.

“I’m so damn proud of you and us @chelseameissner58,” she Tweeted at Eubanks shortly after Cameran exited the program.

Said an insider close to the Southern Charm production to People:

“They both told production they weren’t returning to the show months ago. Naomi and Chelsea, like Cam, are just tired of the reality TV drama and don’t want to live their lives this way.”

This makes some sense for Meissner.

The 34-year competed on Survivor back in 2011 and first appeared on Southern Charm during season 3, which aired in 2016.

She was initially billed as a guest/friend prior to moving to a recurring cast member in its fourth season … and a full-time cast member in seasons 5 and 6.

That’s a whole lot of time in the spotlight, you know?

Olindo, meanwhile, also began appearing on Southern Charm in its third season because she dating one of the show’s stars, Craig Conover.

She remained a recurring cast member during all three years she dated Conover and then moved to a full-time star after their split for season 6.

This has been quite a past few months for Southern Charm in general.

Earlier this week, Kathryn Dennis issued an apology for using a racially insensitive emoji when talking to black radio show host Tamika Gadsden.

Tweeted the veteran cast member;

“I want to acknowledge that using a monkey emoji in my text was offensive, and from the bottom of my heart I sincerely apologize to anyone and everyone I hurt. Although the context was not my intention, there are no ‘ifs ands or buts’ that excuse me.

“I did not give it thought, and it was and is wrong. I know I am not that person. I know and will do better.”

Then there was Thomas Ravenal, who quit Southern Charm amid allegations that he raped a woman.

The disgraced star later pleaded guilty to assault and battery.

Eubanks, for her part, may have left the show because her husband may be having an affair and she was afraid his mistress would be exposed next season.

“My decision was made and given to Bravo months ago and had absolutely nothing to do with ridiculous and fake rumors about my marriage,” Eubanks wrote on Instagram in response to this chatter, adding:

“Please disregard any fabricated rumor. It’s a ploy for ratings and that’s it.”

Southern Charm debuted on March 3, 2014.

Production on Season 7 got underway a few months ago, it has since been stopped due to Covid-19 and no one can say for certain when it will begin again.

The ‘Summer House’ Cast Wants To Film Season 5 In Quarantine

A number of TV shows have been forced to halt production due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Summer House Season 5 may be on pause for a full year. Though the show hasn’t been officially renewed, it obviously films during the summer months, and right now, it seems unlikely that the cast will be able to ship off to the Hamptons any time soon.

"[Season 5] has not been greenlit yet, at all," producer Ian Gelfand told Kate Casey on her podcast Reality Life with Kate Casey earlier this month. "Like is there some talk? There’s some talk. But nothing’s been greenlit." He added that he thinks this was "the best season of Summer House yet" and that they’ve hit some ratings milestones, so he’s hopeful the show will be able to return eventually. (Bravo has yet to respond to Bustle’s request for additional comment.)

Summer House star Kyle Cooke and his fiancée Amanda Batula are also optimistic…so much so that they’re coming up with their own ideas about how to making filming work. "It’s like, let’s do this Big Brother-style. Let’s just throw us all in the house," Batula told Entertainment Tonight. Added Cooke: "If there is one show on Bravo that can actually pull off a quarantine-based show, it’s probably Quarantine House. We could film Season 5 in, like, three weeks."

If Season 5 does come to fruition, Batula would like to see some (minor) changes. "I would love for maybe not the [cast] to change as much as, like, the actual house," Batula said. "We’ve explored every nook and cranny, if you know what I mean," Cooke added.

Their wish may be granted, because the house they typically stay in is currently on the market, and recently underwent a $100,000 price cut. A new house could offer a fresh start…even if that fresh start doesn’t come until 2021.

Nick Cordero Gets Support From ‘Waitress’ Cast With Moving Rendition of ‘Live Your Life’

Sara Bareilles, Jessie Mueller, Keala Settle and Kimiko Glenn help raise funds to cover the comatose ‘Rock of Ages’ actor’s medical expenses by singing his 2018 hit in a four-minute YouTube video.

AceShowbizNick Cordero‘s former “Waitress” castmates collaborated virtually on a moving rendition of his 2018 hit “Live Your Life” to help raise funds to cover the comatose star’s medical expenses.

The “Rock of Ages” actor has been fighting for his life in a Los Angeles hospital intensive care unit since last month, when he was initially thought to be suffering from pneumonia.

He tested negative at the time for COVID-19, but as his condition worsened, Cordero was found to have actually contracted the virus, and ended up having his right leg amputated last weekend (April 18) after experiencing blood flow issues.

He has since had a pacemaker fitted to his heart, adding to a rapidly increasing medical bill and, in an effort to ease the strain on his family, stars including Kimiko Glenn, Jessie Mueller, Sara Bareilles and Keala Settle performed the 41-year-old’s tune in a four-minute “The Show Must Go On Show” video, shared on YouTube.

Many of Nick’s pals held up supportive signs with the hashtag #WakeUpNick, after he spent almost a month in the medically induced coma.

Meanwhile, a GoFundMe crowdfunding page also raising funds to cover the couple’s medical bill has topped $440,000 (£353,716) thanks to donations from fans. Donations can be made here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-amanda-kloots-nick-cordero-amp-elvis.

Nick’s wife, Amanda Kloots, has been sharing updates on her husband’s condition on Instagram, writing over the weekend (April 25-26), “He is recovering well and doing really well with the pacemaker, so that’s good… His heart rate has been under control. If everything goes well this weekend – basically if today and tomorrow are nice, easy rest days for him – on Monday they’re gonna put a (tracheostomy) in, take the ventilator out, which will just make him more comfortable, which is really great.”

'The Goonies' Cast Reunion Had the Whole Gang, Steven Spielberg, and Cyndi Lauper Together

One of the benefits of stay-at-home entertainment is being able to watch castmates get together for virtual reunions. So far, curious fans ventured online to see stars from Desperate Housewives, Victorious, Sonny with a Chance, The Office, and more. But not all the fun is to be had by TV shows.

The cast of the cult classic movie The Goonies lifted more spirits by gathering today on Zoom and livestreaming their reunion.

Hosted by actor and superfan Josh Gad, it was like an ‘80s pop culture dream come true. Not only did the cast and some of its famous crew show up, but funds were raised for a good cause.

Josh Gad organized ‘The Goonies’ reunion

Gad, who is permanently associated with Olaf from Frozen, is a huge fan of the movie and apparently was trying to put this event together for some time. He was more than excited about promoting the party on Twitter and posted a clip of Sean Astin reciting some famous lines from The Goonies.

It marked the first episode of Gad’s “Reunited Apart” series and proved to be very special. Those who watched had the option to donate to The Center for Disaster Philanthropy to aid in COVID-19 relief efforts.

The original stars showed up

So much joy was felt by fans and the cast as one by one, guests were welcomed into the Zoom chat by Gad and Sean Astin (Mikey).

Nostalgia filled the screen as everyone joined in: Jeff Cohen (Chunk), Josh Brolin (Brand), Corey Feldman (Mouth), Ke Huy Quan (Data), Martha Plimpton (Stef), and Kerri Green (Andy)—complete with theme music. And yes, the Fratelli Brothers were there too.

Brolin called the reunion amazing and said he was shaking beforehand, saying that the quarantine is an opportunity for moments like these. After the group played catch-up, there was a deep dive into memories from shooting The Goonies and some reenactments.

Cohen, who played Chunk, is the only one who isn’t an actor these days and instead practices law. Sidebar: He looks nothing like Chunk anymore.

Gad also promised surprises, and guess who else from The Goonies team showed up? Chris Columbus, who wrote the screenplay, director Richard Donner, and filmmaker Steven Spielberg.

The final surprise was ‘80s pop singer Cyndi Lauper who sang the theme song, “The Goonies ‘R’ Good Enough.”

Spielberg shared that the magic created in the film set thebar so high that his sequel ideas never came to fruition. Don’t count on a part2.

The film celebrated its 35th anniversary this year

The Goonies hit theaters on June 7, 1985 and the anniversary served as part of Gad’s motivation for hosting this reunion. Annual celebrations shifted due to coronavirus, but each year, “Goonies Day” is recognized with various events and activities.

In Astoria, Oregon where it was filmed, a four-day extendedparty takes place with screenings, tours, behind-the-scenes tales, and merchandise.Prior to lockdown, 2020 gatherings were planned throughout the US.

Catch the full Goonies reunion on the YouTube link above orcatch the spirit of the original film by streaming it on Amazon Prime Video,iTunes, YouTube, or Vudu.
