Duran Duran’s John Taylor Recovering From Coronavirus: It Isn’t Always a Killer

Assuring fans that he got ‘only a mild case of COVID-19’, the bass guitarist of the ‘Ordinary World’ new wave band claims he ‘cannot wait to be back onstage again.’

AceShowbizJohn Taylor is advising people not to panic when dealing with coronavirus pandemic. Revealing that he is recovering from COVID-19 after testing positive almost three weeks ago, the bass guitarist of Duran Duran assured fans that this virus, which has caused crisis around the world, “isn’t always a killer.”

On Sunday, April 5, the English musician shared on his band’s Facebook account about his coronavirus diagnosis. “DEAR FRIENDS OF MINE after giving some thought to this, I have decided to share with you that I tested positive with the Corona Virus almost three weeks ago,” he began his lengthy message.

“Perhaps I am a particularly robust 59 year old – I like to think I am – or was blessed with getting only a mild case of Covid 19 – but after a week or so of what I would describe as a ‘Turbo-charged Flu,’ ” Taylor continued detailing. Adding that he “came out of it feeling okay,” he spilled, “I didn’t mind the quarantine as it gave me the chance to really recover.”

The “Ordinary World” hitmaker further weighed in on the horror caused by the global pandemic. “I am speaking out in answer to the enormous amount of fear being generated by the pandemic, some of it entirely justified, and my heart goes out to everyone who has had to deal with real loss and pain,” he stated. “But I want to let you know that it isn’t always a killer, and we can and will beat this thing.”

Taylor also gave a shoutout to countries he has visited, the ones that were heavily affected by the pandemic. “Sending LOVE to all my Homies and Fans, in Italy particularly, the U.K. and the U.S. and everywhere in the world I have been lucky enough to visit on my travels with DURAN DURAN,” he expressed his support.

The husband of Juicy Couture co-founder Gela Nash concluded his post by stating that he “cannot wait to be back onstage again, sharing new music, love and joy.” He further encouraged his followers to “stay safe, stay connected and get creative!”

Ferne McCann reveals she’s in love with new boyfriend Albie and wants to have a baby with him

Ferne McCann is utterly loved-up when OK! catches up with her. “I’ve got a big nervous grin,” she laughs when we ask about her new boyfriend Albie Gibbs, 25.

The pair, who are yet to move in together, have been dating since last year after first meeting in Dubai back in December 2018.

In fact, Ferne’s so besotted, that she even jokes that her ITVBe reality show First Time Mum – now in its fifth series – may need a name change.

  • Ferne McCann opens up on self-isolation struggles as daughter Sunday 'refuses' to get changed

  • Ferne McCann 'had no idea' about chances of becoming incontinent after giving birth

“The name will have to change when I decide to have my second child because then I’ll be a second-time mum,” says Ferne, who already has daughter Sunday, two. Does that mean plans to expand her family are on the horizon? “I’d absolutely love to have more children and grow my family,” she tells OK!, adding, “When you’re turning 30 it’s definitely a time in your life when you start to think about settling down.”

Here, Ferne, 29, tells us how she’s entertaining herself and Sunday at home, what we can expect from her new series and why Albie is the one…

Are we going to see your boyfriend Albie in the new series of First Time Mum?

I talk about him loads but he doesn’t want to be in the public eye and I respect that. I actually find that super attractive. He has a professional job [city trader] and he’s not about the [celebrity] life, but I told him you’ve also got to understand that your girlfriend is in the public eye, so we’ve had to find a compromise.

You recently said you can now imagine yourself parenting with someone. Has that changed because of Albie?

Being a single parent, I’ve always said I can’t imagine parenting with someone else because that’s not been my experience so far. But being so in love with Albie, I do feel like he’s the one. He’s such an amazing guy. When you’re in love with someone, you think about the future and getting married and having more children, and he has definitely made me feel like that. We haven’t spoken about it, but me being me, I’m like, “Yeah, we’re going to get married and have children,” and he doesn’t even bat an eyelid. He’s like, “Alright, Ferne!” He’s made me see a hopeful future. I’m happy.

Has Albie met Sunday?

I’ve been with him for a good few months and he’s met Sunday because she’s with me all the time. We’ve also been on the same holidays. We both went to Dubai for New Year a couple of years ago and he first met her there.

Have you settled into your new house well?

Yes, in this series you’ll see me move into my house. It was a really big deal for me. My flat was my safe haven, but I’m blessed I have this gorgeous house and garden so Sunday can get some fresh air. It’s surrounded by epic countryside. I’ve oddly got into birdwatching. I’ve even got a bird feeder and binoculars!

How are you coping with self-isolating?

My mum has moved in with me for the next few weeks, which I’m so grateful for. I’m not a materialistic person – I don’t have a watch or designer stuff – but I’ve worked hard and I’ve always wanted a hot tub so I got one. So me, my mum and Sunday have had a wonderful time self-isolating in the tub! All my work has been cancelled for the foreseeable future and being self-employed that is worrying, but everyone’s in the same boat so I have to look at the positives.

How have you been entertaining Sunday?

She’s in the thick of the terrible twos and I’m sure I’ll be pulling my hair out soon, but we’ve become very creative. We’ve got the paints out, we’re making mud pies and crafting things with cardboard. I’m still filming series five, which has been crazy, but we’re nearly finished and we just need to get the show over the line while following the government’s instructions. I have a little studio separate to my house so I’m just doing my bits to camera and tying up the loose ends.

How’s your prolapsed bladder now?

It’s not 100 per cent fixed but I’ve seen a huge improvement. I can now go for a run with ease without having the fear that I’m going to p**s my pants! The runs have been so good for clearing my head.

First Time Mum returns Wednesday 15 April, 9pm on ITVBe

Young Chop Involved in Gun Shooting Allegedly With 21 Savage Thugs

The tension between Young Chop and 21 Savage started after the former threw shade at him on Instagram Live, prompting the ‘Bank Account’ rapper to accuse him of being a ‘clout’ chaser.

AceShowbiz -It seems like Young Chop has faced the repercussions for his disses against fellow rappers including 21 Savage, Meek Mill and Jay-Z. However, he’s been especially hard against 21 and the Atlanta rapper’s goons allegedly came to Chop’s house to give some warning.

On Saturday night, April 4, a group of men pulled up to the Chicago rapper/producer’s home, prompting him to get his gun. In a video that made its way out online, Young Chop was seen topless and went outside to his front porch before firing guns at them.

Chop later addressed the incident on Instagram Live on Sunday. “Yo, they need to go hire some more shooters, bro,” Chop said to viewers on his Live after showing footage of the shattered glass in the car. “Really, bro. Y’all let off that many shots and ain’t hit s**t, bro.”

The tension between Young Chop and 21 Savage started after the former threw shade at him on Instagram. He said of 21 Savage on Instagram, “Don’t run no more @21savage this n***a a h** lol thanks for the promo p***y.” 21 Savage later responded to Young Chop’s diss, “Make sure y’all go get his tape when it drop cuz he need da clout and pray for him cuz he done lost his mind.”

However, that apparently didn’t stop Young Chop from taunting the “Bank Account” rapper. Young Chop kept wilding on Instagram and it appeared that the two were exchanging insults in DMs. 21 Savage then went on Instagram Live to blast the drill producer, saying, “U think u tough cuz u from Chicago.”

“You think just ’cause you from Chicago, you just the toughest n***a in America. Like, that s**t — n***as down here don’t give a f**k,” the “A Lot” spitter continued ranting in his little IG Live party during his self-isolation. “It’s p***y n***as in every inch of the world. It’s p***y n***as in the most treacherous hoods. It’s n***as that’s h**s, at the end of the day.”

He added, “All that, ‘I’m from here. I’m from there,’ it don’t mean nothing. N***a ‘give a f**k where you from.”

‘RHOA’ Recap: NeNe Leakes Shades Kenya Moore & Kandi Burruss Runs Into Marriage Drama

NeNe Leakes threw major shade at her foe, Kenya Moore, during the April 5 episode of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’, when she rehashed all the drama that went down in Greece.

It all started when NeNe Leakes sat down with her husband, Gregg, during the April 5 episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She wanted to fill him in on what went down in Greece, and while she was rehashing all the drama, she revealed how frustrated she’s become with Kenya Moore. “I had a couple drinks. But that doesn’t have anything to do with what was going on. She tried to say, ‘Well, you called my child a buffalo‘. She knows I am not referring to her child. She knows I was referring to her because that very night that she’s speaking of I said hi to her, she didn’t speak, and I was like, ‘F**k it. She must be having a f**king buffalo.’ You know what I’m saying?”

NeNe further revealed that she’s so over Kenya complaining about people talking about her husband and child. NeNe thinks Kenya is being totally hypocritical. “B**ch, have you forgot you talked about everybody’s marriage? You talked about people’s children. You’ve been involved in people’s relationship, but when it’s done to you, it’s off limits,” she continued.

NeNe then told Gregg that she got up and threw a cup of popcorn at Kenya hoping that she’d “catch” it. She never mentioned any spitting, though, which is what Kenya claimed happened in Greece. “I didn’t leave out with the best intentions but I came in with good ones,” NeNe told Gregg.

Meanwhile, Kandi Burruss went to Chicago for the role she landed in a TV show, and while it was an amazing opportunity, her absence took a major tole on her family. Not only did her son, Ace, cry while FaceTiming with her, but upon her return, husband Todd told her that he didn’t feel like she was prioritizing their family. She didn’t exactly feel the same way, but he explained that he previously put his dreams aside for the greater good of their family, and to prove that he was good enough for her, so he’d like to see her make similar efforts. She shed some tears over Todd’s confession, and said she’d be at home more once their daughter is born. But he wanted her to start prioritizing them now — not later.

Later, Eva gave birth and debuted baby Maverick to the world, while Porsha hosted a charity event, during which many of the ladies shared painful stories about past miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies. It was also during the event that Porsha learned her sister, Shamea, had become close with Kenya and confided in her first, when her water broke.

Want more drama? New episodes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta air Sundays at 8pm on Bravo.
